Abstract
The article carries out philosophic research of the content, structure, consistent pattern of emergence and development of methodology of the scientific cognition. Relationship of philosophical methodology and methodology of scientific cognition is being researched. Based on results of conducted philosophic search the author is undertaking an attempt to develop his own definition of «methodology of scientific cognition» as a notion. The aim of developing this definition is to improve methodological awareness of researchers of Law. Philosophical methodology combines a number of methodological studies each of which is based on its own basic method. Obvious examples are dialectic, metaphysic, synergetic, phenomenological and some other methodologies. That is why selection of methods of scientific cognition is carried out in accordance to philosophical foundations of a certain methodology. Quite often this influence of philosophical methodology upon researcher’s choice of methods is made unconsciously. Pluralism and equivalence of philosophical methodologies are undeniable, but within each separate methodology there is a hierarchy. The highest level of this hierarchy is represented by philosophic principles and ideas in accordance to which methods should be selected.Downloads
