On the Issue of Studying of Philosophic and Ukrainian Studies Disciplines at the Universities of Ukraine

Abstract
The article is caused by the decree № 1392 «About invalidation of the decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated on July 9, 2009 Number 642» published on November 25th, 2014 by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which provided the organization and implementation of humanitarian studies by the students of universities. It is emphasized that rectors of universities have done a lot, and even more has been planned to do for the implementation of the order of the Ministry number 642, because in recent years, especially in conditions of Russian annexation of the Crimea and Russian aggression in the Eastern Ukrainian regions, the society has convinced, that the study of the Ukrainian language and the history of Ukraine at universities – is also a matter of national security. It is stated that the publication of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine number 1392 caused the concern of a large part of the teaching staff, serious discussions, numerous ratings, questions, suggestions and recommendations. It is noted that in that regard a special meeting was conducted at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine which resulted in taking a number of decisions to preserve Ukrainian philosophy and other disciplines at universities. Based on debates, related to the discussion of the issues about the adoption of this order, and the experience of the author in teaching Ukrainian studies at Ukrainian National Academy of Internal Affairs, specific measures to ensure the functioning and comprehensive development of the Ukrainian language in Ukraine and dissemination of knowledge about the history of Ukraine, the so-called «common history of Ukraine and Russia since the Kievan Rus» are proposed. Among such events are the usage of significant developments of humanitarian issues authors of the newspaper «The Day», providing broad participation of student and school youth in the international P. Yatsek Ukrainian language contest, annual National dictation of national unity, carrying out of university, inter-university, regional contests and olympiads on Ukrainian language, providing public policy student practice taking into consideration the experience of 1970–1980 etc.Downloads
